Book 4: Psalms 90-106
- Main Theme: thanksgiving
- Summary: 15 of these 44 psalms are written by David and one written by Solomon. This book tells us to praise God and all of the word in the Bible and how God wants our faithfulness and loyal devotion.

- "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalms 139:13
- "Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him." Psalms 127:3
- "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." Psalms 119:11
Book 3: Psalms 73-89
- Main Theme: praise
- Summary: Most of the psalms in this book are anonymous except for the two written separately by Moses and David. These were psalms meant for songs and hymns as well. These psalms are to remind us of how God’s kingdom rules all and how we should be in response to that.
- Examples:
- "Of David. Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name." Psalms 103:1
- "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty."
- Psalms 91:1
- "A psalm. For giving grateful praise. Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth." Psalms 100:1
Book 2: PSALMS 42-72
- Main Theme: God will remember his covenant and we will be forgiven and provided for
- Summary: Asaph wrote most of these while David, Heman, and Ethan wrote 1. This book is mainly written in the form of songs and hymns. They are to keep us well aware of how holy God is and how we should fear Him and not let go of His power.
- Examples:
- "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." Psalms 84:11
- "I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.'" Psalms 82:6
- "My eyes are dim with grief. I call to you, LORD, every day; I spread out my hands to you." Psalms 88:9
- Main theme: Prayer, Faith, and trust in God
- Summary: David wrote most of this book as well, Solomon wrote 1, and the rest by Korah. They are mainly focused on the Tabernacle, the Temple, and the things they provide. David speaks in these psalms about how we should be in awe at the Lord but still pray for him to provide and protect.

- "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:1
- "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Psalms 51:10
- "In you, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame." Psalms 71:1

Who Wrote PSalms?
- Main theme: praise
- Summary: Mostly composed by David, reflecting much of david's life and his understanding of the glory of God. In psalm 9, he speaks of the Lord as the God who has the power to deliver from the enemy. In Psalm 10, David knows God hears and answers prayers.
- Examples:
- Psalm 8: praise to god for His relationship with creation
- Psalm 23: prasing god for being a provider, protecter, and having guidance
- psalm 27: David remembering when the Lord delivered him

- Solomon wrote about 3
- Ethan and moses wrote about 1 each
