- Centered inside of Mauritania, Senegal, and Mali
- Major rivers like the Gambia River, Senegal River, and Niger River
- These major rivers were used for trade and transportation
This mark the end of the Ghana Empire
- Ghana started to fall when it became under pressure from the Muslims to convert to Islam
- When the king refused, Ghana became under constant attacks from North Africa
- With the attacks people started to brake from Ghana
- First to brake were the people known as the Susa
- After a Few 100 years Ghana weakoned until becoming part of Mali Empire
