The Pilgrims and
others celebrate the first
Thanksgiving in
Plymouth.
On December 16, 1773, three
ships full of tea sat in Boston Harbor. Some colonists had been holding meetings about the three ships
all day. The colonists didn't want the tea, but the British wanted the tea unloaded and also sold in the colonies . On that day a group of men dressed as Native Americans and climbed into the ships and also they dumped all the tea into the water. This was the Boston Tea Party.
