QUALITALIVE APPROACH

• With the upsoar of the digital age, It is very easy to start a revolution such as the famous #bringbackourgirls campaign on twitter or sharing a propaganda video of save a child in africa on facebook than to organise a physical march to a city center or public sqaure carrying placards and signs to protest a government inflation

• This research looks to answer questions associated to why, how and when goverments needs to put a check on social media abuses that pose national threat.When do we say that an information on a social media platform is categorized as a national threat?

The research will be based on qualitative analysis of data with little quantitaive inputs for precise, accurate and reliable findings to aid the final result for which the conceptualization was aimed to achieve

• In this research we will look to analyse conversations, data, posts on social media sites such as facebook, twitter, youtube and major blog sites such as Nairaland.com and Lindaikeji.blogsot.hu using insecurity challenges in Nigeria as a case study. This research will draw a line on what is considered a threat and what calls for national emergency.
