Who?
The persecutors are a radical Islamic Sect that goes by the name 'Boko Haram', which translates to 'Western Education is a Sin'.
They seek to restore a caliphate and create a 'pure' Islamic state, heavily enforcing Shari'a Law.
Legality
The Nigerian government is obliged to stop these terrorists because of the universal right of religious freedom and because it is violating their own law. By forcing Christians to follow Islamic belief and by being intolerant, they violate sections in the constitution made in 1999.
