Who were the historical personalities involved and their roles?

Major People in the Korean War were Douglas Macarthur who was the commander of the US and UN forces combating the North. President Truman was the president who decided to intervene in the Korean conflict, lest Communism spread, Mao Zedong ruled China and sent military help to North Korea, Stalin who was the leader of soviet union. Sygnam Rhee who was the leader of South Korea and Kim IL Sung: leader of North Korea.

What was the outcome of the War?

The Korean War finished by North Korea getting the South to agree in a treaty to stop the fighting. Over 2 million people died or were wounded because of the War. South Korea remained as a capitalist country while North Korea was still a communist country.

Why did these countries get involved?

USA got involved in this War so they could stop the spread of communism and the political power of the chinese. They were extremely surprised when the North invaded the South.

The Chinese had said that they would react if the UN forces encroached on the frontier at the Yalu River. They wanted North Korea to stay a communist country so with the threat of the USA they got involved.

The main countries that were involved in the Korean War were the USA, China, South Korea and North Korea. The USA were behind South Korea being capitalists while the Chinese were behind North Korea.

Was it actually a war? Explain.

The Korean War was an actual war. It was between North and South Korea but both China and America got involved. North Korea were trying to take over South Korea.

North Korea suffered over 1,000,000 people who were wounded or died whilst China had around 600,000. South Korea also suffered over 1,000,000 people who were wounded or died while USA suffered just over 100,000 people who died or were wounded.

What were the reasons the War started?

The Korean War started because the North was communist and the south was anti-communist. The Korean War started on June 25, 1950 and ended on July 27, 1953. The War started when the leader of North Korea, Kim II Sung, invaded South Korea to unite the both North and South into a fully communist country.
