- October 2001: Anthrax outbreak
- Started in Florida by mail
- 22 people infected.
- Five fatal cases in a two month period.
- Nurses were advised to : a. Use protective clothing b. Receive the anthrax vaccine c. Use sterilizing equipment (CDC, 2010)
