EL SERRALLO SCHOOL, Tarragona

4th grade (21 students)

BAD ELECTION TO CARRY OUT THE LESSON: ON STRIKE, 4 STUDENTS MISSED AND THEIR GENERAL ATTITUDE WAS LIKE ON THIS TYPE OF DAYS WE CAN'T WORK, IT'S HOLIDAY.

TIMING: IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WITH TWO LESSONS, BUT I COULDN'T, BECACUSE THEY HAVE ONLY 1 HOUR WITH ME AND ANOTHER ONE WITH THE OTHER ENGLISH TEACHER. PRESENTATION WAS LONGER THAN I EXPECTED. I HAD TO ELIMINATE ONE OF THE ACTIVITIES, THOUGH IT IS UPLOADED IN OUR BLOG IN CASE THEY WANT TO PLAY WITH IT.

ON THE WHOLE, DESPITE THEIR FIRST IMPRESSION ABOUT THE LESSON, THEY PARTICIPATE A LOT DURING IT AND WERE SURPRISED WITH THE STATEMENTS ABOUT FOOD PYRAMID COMPARING THEM WITH THEIR FOOD ROUTINE.

THEY ARE NOT USED TO DOING THIS KIND OF CLIL METHODOLOGY AND I THINK THEY NEED MORE PREVIOUS WORK.

INTERACTION WAS NOT AS I EXPECTED. ONLY MORE ADVANCED STUDENTS USED ALL THE LANGUAGE SUPPORT. OTHER ONES ONLY USED THE EASIEST SENTENCES: BECAUSE IT ITS HEALTHY/ UNHEALTHY.

QUIZ, QUITE INTERESTING FOR THEM.

WRITING WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FINISHED AT HOME, BUT THEY TOLD ME IT COULD BE DIFFICULT TO MEET OUT OF THE SCHOOL. SO, WE ARE GOING TO FINISH IT NEXT CLASS, NEXT WEEK.

TO SUM UP, ALTHOUGH ALL POINTS TO IMPROVE, IT HAS BEEN A GREAT NEW EXPERIENCE FOR MY STUDENTS AND ME.
