The characteristic
of a living thing!
Incubating eggs take 35 days, guarding and feeding chick for 2 to 3 weeks. The mum goes back to sea to find more food for the baby penguin after the egg has hatched. The farther looks after the egg.

The mother returns daily to feed the chick for 5-6 weeks . Chick abandoned again for another 5 weeks. After 8 week chick is fully grown.
Penguin return to sea for 2-3 weeks to re-establish their body weight 1000-1200g . They prepare for another breeding season . Growth of chick 40g to 1kg.

The parents abandoned fedling for 2 weeks at sea.
Then the fedling leaves it's it nest for 6 months to a year.
Adult & young birds return to their nest for
2 - 5 weeks, while old feathers fall out & new one grows, it is a hard time for them because they can't goto sea.
