Before Felicity Aston could make this incredible journey, she had to prepare. She didn't just make up the idea of crossing a continent on her own!
Felicity had already been on numerous skiing expeditions and even to a scientific base in the Antarctic as a meteorologist. It was during these journeys that she started to get her ideas...
Felicity had the idea to put together a team of women to reach the South Pole. With the support of many people, she made this dream come true.
Taking on the Challenge
Felicity Aston was inspired by her remarkable journey. She began to wonder...could she make the trek alone? Could see cross to the South Pole and then back to a different shore line, thus technically crossing the continent of Antarctica?
