• He committed his first murder at the age of 18.

• He would usually use various methods in his killings, like Rape, dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism.

• In 1991 the last intended victim escaped Dahmers house
• Saw pictures of mangled bodies which lead police to Dahmers apartment
• Edwards found, half naked, handcuffed, in the street near Dahmer's apartment
• Escaped after his attacker tried to cuff his wrists and he was forced into the bedroom
• Punched his attacker and kicked him before running for the door

• Police got a warrant to search his apartment
• Hazmat suits were needed to enter crime scene
• The building was evacuated and later torn down, due to smell
• Evidence was sent to FBI: Headquarters for forensic science
• FBI looked at DNA samples: semen and fingerprint found
• Forensic Anthropologists analyzed the skeletal remains

• Refrigerator covered with Polaroids of mutilated men; victims before, during, and after death.
• A human head in refrigerator
• Three more heads in the freezer
• Hands and a penis were in a closet
• Two boiled skulls painted grey on closet shelf
• Male genitalia were preserved in formaldehyde (acid)
• A bottle of chloroform (put victims to sleep) was found
• 57 gallon drum with bodies left in acid
• Blood socked mattress
• Various tools : hand saw, drill
• Blood splatter
