Teenagers... Why so judgy?

But is this true?

No!

Those are common misconceptions!!

Believe it or not; teenagers do not judge others for fun or to gain friendships! They do it to protect themselves and others!

People Say. . .

So... Why so judgy?

They use humour to distract the true intention of the judging...

  • Girls are more judgmental then boys

  • We judge others because we lack self esteem

NOT BECAUSE:

  • we lack self esteem
  • girls are rude by nature
  • we want to ruin other's lives

YES BECAUSE:

  • we do not want someone bad to gain power
  • we want others to know what they did was wrong
  • we want peace and a drama-free school environment

Who do we judge?

Why do we tell them?

  • Bullies
  • Strangers
  • New Students
  • Teachers and their teaching methods
  • Family members
  • New Friends
  • Old Friends
  • Celebrities
  • And many more...!
  • We trust them
  • They trust us
  • We want them to know who did what
  • We want them to make good choices
  • We don't want them to befriend a bad person
  • We know/hope they will feel the same

Who do we tell our opinions?

OUR FRIENDS
