Flag by John Agard
These children are holding poppies in memory of fallen soldiers for Remembrance Day.This day reflects how War is a terrible, tragic thing. However,if you look closely at their t-shirts,you can see they say "future soldier." Are these children with poppies being used for remembrance or a recruitment tool?
Much like these children,is the person in the poem being blinded by their conscience?
