Transcendentalism in Movies

Confidence in self

Self-Reliance

The Incredibles

The princess and the frog

In the movie the Incredibles, Violet and Dash resemble self confidence, in their battle scene. They wandered out of the cave and get caught only trying to find their parents.

Free Thinking

The princess and the frog resembles self reliance, because Princess Tiana is trying to pursue her dreams in opening her own restaurant. She was doing everything in her willpower to become everything she ever wanted. The transcendentalist would enjoy this film because, it resembles their culture in doing what you want for yourself.

A bugs life

Non-Conformity

Wall-E

A good example for free thinking is the animation movie a bugs life. The main character Flik, always does what he thinks is right, and lives by his own rules. The transcendentalists would greatly enjoy this movie because it is their way of thinking.

Simplicity in living

Celebration and importance of nature

Brother bear

Works Cited

In the movie Wall-E, Himself Wall-E represents non-conformity because of a short circuit. Him trying to get everyone back because of revolutionary change. Transcendentalist would think this movie is a good example of their culture including importance of nature and non-conformity traits

The Lorax

The Lorax resembles celebration and importance of nature in the way they are doing everything they can to save their world. Their world was to the point of selling air, losing the trees everything became synthetic. The people of the transcendentalist culture would like this film because they are trying to save their world instead of ignoreing it like everyone else.

The movie Brother Bear resembles simplicity of living by the way they live of the earth and maintain traditions. The transcendentalists would like this movie because that was also their way of thinking and living.
