Procedure

1. "Where is that bone on my skeleton?"

2. "How is it the same as other bones?"

3. "How is it different than other bones? "

1. Listen carefully as Ms. Alexander describes a bone.

2. Table Talk (1 minute): "Where is that bone on my skeleton?" "How is it the same as other bones?" "How is it different than other bones?

3. Ms. Alexander will call on a volunteer to label the bone on Lewis with its science word.

4. Everyone colors that bone in with the color Ms. Alexander names.

5. Then, we will do it again.

1. Write the Title of the Unit "Bones" big across two pages.

2. Draw pictures that make you think of bones.

3. Color your cover so there aren't any white spaces.

Procedure

1. Start at the top of your head and feel your bones.

2. When you find a bone with your sense of touch record it in the body on page 1.

3. Move from your head to your toes to feel all of your bones, recording your observations.

4. Count how many bones you have in your body and record your results.
