History of Ford Motor Company's Muscle car: Ford Mustang

The first Mustangs were made in 1964. They were priced $2,300. However now They are worth at least $8,500.

The price of a 1967 320hp V8 Ford Mustang GT Convertible is $36,674 and a Coupe is $17,183.

The total 1966 models made was- 472,121. Average price for one back then was about $2,600.

When the Boss 302 was meant to be kept secret. So when anyone asked about it was often referred as the "Boss's car"and the name stuck making the car a success up until this day.

The 2013Boss 302 received a new look this year by adding body panels to bring out its new 70s inspired graphics.

The Mustang Boss 302 had an engine that had an output of 444-horsepower, the company was able to make the V8 adapt to a 5.0-liter engine.

The engines were all the same from the first Mustangs, except a slight new upgrade; a 390 cubic inch V-8 that came with 320hp and with a dual exhaust.

Ford Mustang History

Ford also made special Mustangs to compete against Chevy's Corvette. They were the Shelby series Mustangs started by Carroll Shelby.

The only special car was a Super Snake. 50 of them were supposed to be made, but only few were made because the price was too high to make multiple cars, so even if they did make them they would just make a little bit of profit off of it.

The car had a 427 Cobra motor that had 520HP. It included tuned headers, aluminum heads, aluminum intake, and a 4-Speed Transmission with a 4.11.The car was actually on eBay twice in 2002, but the requirements were never met, but bids reached $169,100.

1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Around 2,000 GT 500s and 1,100 GT 350s were produced.The GT500 was offered with a C-6 Automatic Transmission or a Ford Top loader 4-Speed manual.The car was known to have suffered when turning into corners at high speeds because of the extra weight in the front of the car.

The 2013 Mustang GT and V6 received new bodywork with a more aggressive GT500 inspired front bumper with HID headlights, body color rocker panels, a redesigned rear end with new taillights and even a new hood on the GT. The Mustang GT also received many other upgrades including a LCD screen in the dashboard, an additional 8 horsepower, and an optional Track Package.The 2013 Mustang with 5.0-liter V6 engine can deliver 420 horsepower.

The biggest change this year came on the Shelby GT500 which got a new 5.8L supercharged power plant boosting its engine capacity to 650 horsepower and a top speed of over 200mph. The package included with the new Mustang is a Brembo Brake Package, with 14-inch front discs, unique 19-inch alloy wheels and tires specially made to perform well during summer.
