Eastern Ridges and Lowlands
- It is one of the only state 5 regions that was not coverd by glaciers.
- When you come here it will look like the ice age.
- You'll find that high ridges and deep valleys called couless fill Western Uplands.The western border is the mississippi river.
- Eastern Ridges and Lowlands gets its name from the three limestone ridges that run through the region from the north to south.
Five Geographic Regions of Wisconsin
Central Plain
- It is the largest of Wisconsin's five regions.
- The region is made up of mountains nearly two billion years old.
- It measures 1951 feet above sea level.
- This hilly region has upland plains, ridges, and deep valleys.
- The regions soil is not like rich black dirt in Neigboring Eastern Riges and Lowlands

Lake Superior Lowlands
- It is the smallest of the states region.
- Volcanic rock can be found here.
- Abundance of natural resources
- There are deep ravines and gorges
- It occupies portions of Douglas,Bay field, and
- Ash land country on the tip of Wisconsin. .
