Virtue

  • Become virtuous by practicing virtuosity
  • Striving to be right and good develops virtuous character
  • Virtue stands for Common Good
  • Grace suggests that leaders make decisions, then stand back to make sure:
  • What they are doing is in-line with their values and morals
  • Consistent with their vision in service to others

Voice to Value

  • Work changes to renewal when transitioning from voice to value
  • While expressing voice, regularly break from the action
  • Make sure actions are aligned with values and vision

Voice

  • Expressing vision to others in a persuasive way to motivate them to action
  • Transition from vision to voice through "polis"
  • in context of a public act- engaging in politics

Vision

  • "Ability to frame our actions"
  • Usually by carrying out service to others
  • Service connects Values to Vision
  • Tests values to bring out latent vision

Values

  • Beginning of ethical leadership
  • Discover values at core of identities
  • Peace, integrity, wealth, joy, love, success
