4 BRANCES OF EARTH SCIENCE

METEOROLOGY

DEFENITION

Meteorology is the scientific study of the atmosphere. Studies in the field stretch back to a million years, though significant progress in meteorology did not occur until the eighteenth century. The nineteenth century saw breakthroughs occur after observing networks developed across several countries. After the development of the computer in the later half of the twentieth century advances in weather forecasting were achieved.

VISUAL

Earth science is a term for the sciences related to planet Earth. It is a special case in planetary science because Earth is the only known life-bearing planet. The study of Earth sciences may include the study of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, oceans, biosphere, and as well as the solid earth. Lastly, scientists study how it evolved to its current state.

ASTRONOMY

Astronomy is a natural science that deals with the study of the stars, planets, comets, nebulaes, star clusters, and galaxies. Astrnomers also study any other actions that occur outside the Earth's atmosphere. Astronomers also study evolution, physics, chemistry, meteorology, and the motions of objects in space. astronomy also deals with the formation and development of the universe.
