THIS/NEXT WEEK/MONTH:

1. Make a list of things you HAVE TO do on the left column.

2. Make a list of things you WANT TO do on the right column.

3. Budget time for each of the things on your list.

Make your TO-DO list for this/next week/month based on your Haves and Wants brainstorm.

It can be from work or personal life.

When you have to "create plans to prepare for what you have to do" how do you:

  • Prioritise?
  • Achieve life balance?

From your LIST:

Which skill does your team

believe would make the difference for that grade level?

Come to a consensus

and justify your choice.

Share your grade level skill focus with the large group.

Your group has an envelope of LP traits, attitudes, values, ATL skills.

Take a walk with your group

and look at the posters around the room.

If you think there is a match between the trait/attitude/value/ATL skill, stick the word on the poster.

You only have ten minutes!

Revisit your priority for the students in your grade level.

Which LP/Value/attitude/skill fits the priority?

What are the implications of an alignment of Learner-Profile/Values/Attitudes/ATL skills?

Task:

As a group, create a poster

highlighting or expressing the

LP/Value/attitude/ATL skill that you decided is a priority for the students of that grade level.

Plan it now and assign who does what part of the task.

It is due Monday Jan 12.

CRITERIA:

Poster needs to:

  • Use IB language
  • Have short statements
  • Include an attractive and relevant graphic
  • Demonstrate sound design principles
  • Demonstrate academic honesty practices

The future is not some place we are going to

but one we are creating.

The paths are not to be found,

but made, and the activity of making them changes

both the maker and the destination.

Learning is a natural and engaging lifelong development of individuals and communities

driven by curiosity, experiences and the desire to solve problems.

Learning is affected by attitudes, opportunities, and the deliberate teaching of skills to inquire, think, communicate, and collaborate.

Through learning, individuals and communities gain understanding, skills, knowledge, attitudes and dispositions,

and learners ethically reflect and act on their learning

to impact themselves and their relationships to others and the world.

Student led conferences

With your grade level group: Generate some ideas on:

Which ATL skills do they MOST need to be successful in that grade?

Specify one per cluster:
