Hypothesis: As the years progress the death rate due to heart disease will increase more than diabetes

Purpose: find out which disease (heart disease or diabetes) causes the most death in Canada

Mean

Cause and Effect?

Red= heart disease

Blue=diabetes

Extrapolation

Estimate of people that will die from heart disease by the year 2020 from 2009 : 3501 people

Estimate of people that will die from diabetes by the year 2020 from 2009: 416 people

Cause of death: inaccurate meaning some people may not have died from heart disease but diabetes and vise versa

Hypothesis Proven?

Our hypothesis was not proven to be correct because instead of the death rates for heart disease and diabetes increasing, it decreases significantly. This can suggest that the subject of heart disease and diabetes in Canada is an issue that is being addressed and positivily dealt with.
