Constitution of The United States
September 17, 1787 The Constitution of the United States is signed in order to replace the Articles of Confederation and provide a stronger central government.

The Estates- General
- Called by King Louis XVI to propose solutions to the governments financial problems.
- Was the first meeting called since 1614.
- Ended when the Third Estate formed into a national assembly inviting the other two to join, against the King's wishes causing the opening of the French Revolution.
Discovering A New Planet
- Herschel believed it to be a comet at first, but realized that it was moving to slow. It was moving so slow that it had to be outside of the Sun's gravity.

The Annexation of Crimea
- William Herschel had accidently discovered a new planet. Up to this point there were only five other planets known in the solar system.
The outcome of the Russian-Turkish War, under a treaty Crimea was recognized as an independant territory.

- March 13, 1781 Herschel, while searching for double stars, noticed a small object moving across the sky.
Important for Russia expansion to have more control to ports leading to the black sea.

- He named the element of Carbon, Hydrogen, and Oxygen.

The End of A War
- He also discovered oxygen's role in combustion and respiration
- The Treaty of Paris of 1783 negotiated between the United States and Britain, ended the revolutionary
war and recognized American independance.
Storming of the Bastille
- Kant was and is one of the most influential philosophers of all time.
- Treaty was negotiated by John Adams, enjamin Franklin, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, and Henry Laurens
- The Bastille was a Medieval fortress and prison located in Paris, and it represented royal authority.
- "Critique of Reason" is the first of his great works.
- Although it only contained seven inmates at the time of the its storming, it was a symbol of abuse to the monarchy.

No.19 "Dissonance"
- Kant aimed to show the relationship between reason and knowledge.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart completed the last of six quartets composed between 1782-1785.
Nicknamed "Dissonance" on account of its slow introduction in the first movement.
- His works and words are still found today
