Consequences of American involvement in Cuba
Four Month long War
- Cuba began to feel oppressed because America controlled most political affairs
- America created two new naval bases on Cuba extending the military control in the Caribbean.
- U.S. blocked Cuba's ability to have normal trade with Western countries.
- The fight was between us and Spain
- Us won the war
- Because of this they became the dominant power in the Caribbean.
- Spain granted independence to Cuba, but created a constitution.
