Boils are an inflamed pus-filled swelling on the skin.
- Causes: A number of health conditions, allergies, genetic factors, physical and mental stressors, and irritants can cause dermatitis.
- Symptoms: The area around the boil turns red, painful, swollen and warm. Lymph nodes may also become swollen.
- Treament: Varies depending on the cause. For all types of dermatitis, use of over-the-counter oral antihistamines can reduce pain and itching.
- Causes: Most boils are caused by staphylococcal bacteria. This germ enters the body through cuts in the skin, which then travel and infect the follicle.
- Treatments: Apply warm compresses and soak the boil in warm water. These compresses will allow the boil to come to the surface. After the boil is to the surface, it will then burst.

- Causes: Oral herpes is caused by a DNA virus, otherwise known as the herpes simplex virus.

- Treatment: Use an over an anesthetic to relieve pain and drink plenty of fluids, such as water to prevent dehydration.

Impetigo is a contagious infection of the skin caused by streptococcal bacteria.
- Causes: The most common trigger is puberty. The hormonal changes causes stimulation of the production of sebum, which leads to more acne breakouts. Dietary items like fried foods or chocolate can also cause Acne Vulgaria.
- Symptoms: Itching, painless blisters, and red sores that ooze and form a yellow crust.
- Causes: Staphylococcus aureus, and streptococcus pyogenes bacteria cause Impetigo
- Treatment: To treat Impetigo, one must use a topical or oral antibiotic, such as Bactroban.
- Treatment: The use of topical ointment will treat acne. Also, drinking plenty of water and eating healthy controls acne.
Melanoma

- Symptoms: Change in formation, and oozing or bleeding of mole.
- Causes: Melanoma is caused from moles, overexposure to sun, heredity, and ethnic origin.

- Treatment: Doctors usually prescribe an antiviral drug that fights the virus. Cool compresses will reduce the pain of the rashes.
- Symptoms: Itchy, red, raised, scaly patches with defined edges that may ooze or blister.
- Causes: Ring worm is caused by tinea fungus.
- Treatment: Keep skin clean and dry, apply over the counter anti-fungal powders to affected area.
