Do now: What are the three main types of nonvascular plants?

Seed dispersal and germination

How do you think seeds can be dispersed?

Germination- after the seed is dispersed the embryo begins to grow and push out of the seed.

Vascular Tissue

Homework

phloem- vascuar tissue through which food moves

xylem- vascular tissue through which water and minerals move

First paragraph of paper

Seed plants

Seed Structure

seed plants have vascular tissue and use pollen and seeds to reproduce

Pollen and seeds

embryo- young plant that develops from the zygote

cotyledons- seed leaves. Sometimes these store food and other times the embryos store food

pollen- tiny structures that contain cells that will later become sperm (do not need water to move)

seed- structure that contains a young plant. Seed coat protects it from drying out.
