- Responsible for one of the most cold-blood home invasion murders of the past 100 years.
- He was 16 years old but believed himself to be a 500-year-old vampire.

- On May 6, 2013, Amanda Berry escaped with her daughter and called 911.

- The kidnapper, Ariel Castro, was arrested and convicted of the crimes.
