- A LOT of people from Ireland immigrated to the U.S which made our population MUCH bigger
- Despite competition for jobs, Irish Immigrants supported and became leaders of Union Efforts.
- Most Chinese Immigrants worked on railroads for the U.S .Without them most of our Railroads would never be finished in the amount of time they were.
- They were paid VERY little and the little money they had was sent to China to support their families.
