My group is Drs. Davis, Hunt, and Jenkins they were 3 boys that grew up in the projects most people around them figured they would not make it out of 8th grade getting involved with drugs or crime.
Drs.Davis, Hunt,Jenkins had not conformed to all the negativity around them they stayed patient and determined to stay out of crime and drugs.People in their neighborhood were selling drugs and making tons of money eventually they knew that person would end up in jail. They had even grown up with no father. EVERYONE in their neighborhoods had not made it to college or finished. They also had tons of peer pressure to get involved in drugs and even stealing, one of them had been tricked to steal a carpet cleaner. Drugs were like a virus even if they were only selling and in their neighborhood it was contagious 99% of people had been involved in selling drugs.
College was difficult for them from the start because school was so easy for them and that all changed when they were feeling like they could not do this they helped each other and the counselor helped them by lighting a fire in them she often checked on the regularly. Eventually George left them and went to dental school and it got harder for them to focus even though Sampson and Rameck were still together. Carla still checked in on them and inspired them to focus.
