A man uninterested in, "What's right", he only wants a moment of peace. He attempts to keep his sanity by telling the children a story they will be attentive too.
Conclusion
-Extreme goodness won't save you from the jaws of a wolf.
Irony
-Sometimes your morals, despite your good intentions, put you in unfavorable situations.
-Children are supposed to like happy endings; hated grandmothers story about goodness achieving anything.
-Children loved the bachelors story because it ended realistically, with the death of the main character despite her good nature.
-Berthas medals became her downfall; led wolf to her location. Resulted in her death.
-Berthas goodness was the factor for her death in the park, because without it, she would not have been there in the first place.
