The cause for the invasion:

Leader of Mongolia at the time, Kublai was seeking to create the perfect economic and military isolation of South China. With only one country left in his way of doing so...

Japan would be the next victim of Mongolia's assault. Theories have it that Kublai was also in serious desire for the country's legendary gold and pearls of the land.

For his greediness, Kublai and a major portion of the Mongolian army payed for their actions when coming face to face with Japan's natural typhoon events while invading on Japanese lands.

The Kamikaze Winds

Also known as the "Divine Wind"

Typhoons develop during the late summer in Japan due to tropical depressions generated near the equator. These typhoons generally track from the Southwest to Northwest.

These winds happen to be a significant symbol in the Japanese culture because they are completely credentialed with saving the country.

For the second attempt:

Result:

During this age, Mongolia was striving to reach the goal of dominating all of Asia and even parts of Russia.

The Kamikaze winds were just part of another typhoon which happened to strike Japan at the right moment to terminate the Mongolian army.

Along with strong winds, typhoons cause rough seas and heavy rains.

Typhoons are part of the typical seasonal climate that effects Japan every year mainly between the months of May to August with September to October being the peak season.
