This is a cell analogy comparing a school structure to a plant cell. The purpose of analogy is to show the understanding of each part of the plant cells
The cell contains hereditary information (DNA) which is passes on during cell division
This means that all of the cells in human body contains DNA and it is going to be transferred during cell division
All cells are the same in chemical composition and metabolic activities
This means that cells have the same in chemical composition and metabolic activities
All basics functions important to life are carried out inside the cell
This theory means that cells carrys the basic functions that is important to life
Cell activity depends on the activities of sub-cellular structures within the cells
This means that the activities of sub-cellular structure can affect the amount of activities it can produce.
Gate help protect the school and the students just like the plasma membrane it surrounds and protect the cells
Campus door prevent irrelevant people from entering and help maintain the school's safety. Doors is similar to cell wall, because cell wall help support the plan cell and help it maintain its shape
superintendent make important decisions and control the school, just like the nucleus. Nucleus is a structure that contains DNA and regulates genes.
Window protects the students and the teachers from the wind and rain just like nuclear membrane. Nuclear membrane helps protect the nucleus
Principals keep things running and they manufacture a organized environment for both the students and the teachers. Nucleolus is similar to a principal because organize the whole process
Hallways are where social interactions among students and teachers occurs. Moreover, endoplasmic reticulum is a passageways where chemicals are made.
Cleaning lady stores boxes of books and school items in a storage room just like how Golgi apparatus stack membranes that packages chemicals
Teachers job is to convert knowledge and information to the students just like how Mitochondria converts nutrients to energy.
Generator provides power to the school in the same way as how chloroplasts converts sunlight to chemical energy.
Storage room help support belongings and items just like how vacuoles help support the plant cell and help it maintain its shape
Trash cans is an analogy for lysosomes because it is used for throwing unwanted wastes. Moreover, lysosomes's function is to break down proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and old organelle
Lunch lady gives food to student, which can give them energy and nutrition. Moreover, it is lunch ladies are similar to ribosomes because synthesizes proteins.
All 3 type of cells contains:
Differences and meanings
Plant Cells:
Bacteria Cell:
Cell wall- structural layer surrounding some types of cells, just outside the cell membrane
Chloroplasts- organelles that conduct photosynthesis, where the photosynthetic pigment chlorophyll captures the energy from sunlight and converts it
Leucoplast- organelle that store energy and food
Chromoplast- organelle that is responsible for pigment synthesis and storage in specific photosynthetic eukaryote
Central vacuole stores water and maintains turgor pressure in a plant cell. It also pushes the contents of the cell toward the cell membrane, which allows the plant cells to take in more light energy for making food through photosynthesis
Animal Cell:
Bactiera Cell:
protect cells from engulfment by eukaryotic cells and it enhances the ability of bacteria to cause disease
contains all or most of the genetic material
protrudes from the cell body of certain bacteria and eukaryotic cells termed as flagellates.
(little hairs) attach a bacterial cell to specific surfaces or to other cells
Plant Cell:
Animal Cell:
composed mainly of a protein called tubuli
membrane-bound cell organelle that contains digestive enzymes
Are storage bubbles found in cells and it might store food or any variety of nutrients a cell might need to survive
