EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

PAINTBALL TOURNAMENT 2017

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive paintball is an event organized by Nixor Engineering Solutions (NES). The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the future projects of NES. This will be a knockout tournament with a grand prize for the winners. The guns used in this tournament will be made and tested by NES themselves. Logistical aspects of this event will be managed by a logistical entity.

PRE-EVENT DETAILS

One week prior to the event, a signup form for this event will be emailed to the current students at Nixor (class of 2018 and 2019). The signup form will require registration of teams. Each team will consist of 5 people. One team captain should be decided amongst the teams. The captain will fill up the form. The form will ask for:

1.Name of captain

2.Names of other 4 players

3.Nixor ID of all 5 players

4.Email addresses of all 5 players

5.Participation consent

The signup form will be open till 2 days prior to the event and after the form has been closed, the teams will be drafted into a knockout table and will be emailed to all the participants.

PRE-EVENT DETAILS

MATCH DETAILS

Each team of 5 will be carrying paintball guns made by NES and a shield with 2 lives.

Players will be given safety equipment to wear.

Each match will take place for 10 minutes where one team will have to capture the flag and the other team will have to defend it.

Once a team scores, there will be a break in fighting for 20 seconds where the opposite team will now capture the flag.

The team with the highest score by the end of the match will win.

There will be two exit points on opposite diagonals of the arena in the venue, where the two teams will enter from and exit from.

07:30 AM: Volunteers and executives arrive on venue

07:30 – 08:00 AM: Volunteer briefing session

08:00 – 09:30 AM: General setup of the event

09:30 – 09:45 AM: Testing of guns

09:45 AM: Participants arrive

09:45 – 10:00 AM: Preparations for first match

10:00 AM: First match begins

10:00 – 03:00 PM: Matches will be played

03:00 – 04:00 PM: Food breaks

04:00 – 06:30 PM: Remaining matches will be played

06:30 – 07:00 PM: Award ceremony

07:00 – 08:00 PM: Clean up of the venue

1. FACEBOOK page will be used for updates, buildup countdowns and preparations. All the material posted will eventually be shared on Pilots 2018 and 2019.

2. Posters featuring ‘Sign up now’ will be posted on Pilots to ensure that the maximum number of students sign up for this event leading to maximum revenue.

3. Using Snapchat and Instagram to post previous fun facts about the event.

4. NES executives holding the paintball guns can be featured on pilots showing that setup for the event has been completed.

5. A live video of testing the paintball gun can be uploaded creating hype among the teams.

6. Good luck poster for all the teams made and uploaded on pilots.

7. Official hashtags made.

ON-DAY MARKETING

1. Posting of live updates to be done from Nixor O Level campus.

2. Conducting on-day Interviews. ‘Nixor Media X’ or ‘The Nixor Times’ can be hired for the purpose. The winning team can be interviewed on-spot after the come out of the battle arena.

3. The video interview can be uploaded live on Pilots 2018 and 2019. This will provide an inside look of the event to those not attending it.

4. The event can be directly marketed through announcement during the matches.

5. Pictures of the venue, students and volunteers would be posted on our social media channels.

POST EVENT MARKETING

1. Thank you, posters, made for the volunteers.

2. Uploading the overall event experience of students and volunteers.

3. Winning team featured on Pilots

4. Statistics posted about currents events.

5. Media blogs to be uploaded.

1. Paintball tournament amongst NES and NEMS can be conducted

2. A scoreboard can be made and displayed at the end of every competition, to show the scores of the winning team

3. Complementary Ferry lights can be arranged at night

4. Winning team can be given various handmade awards.

5. A paintball theme based photobooth can be set up with complementary props.

6. Posters can be displayed all across for decoration.

7. CS soundtracks will be played throughout the event and EDM playlist of music will be played.

8. CS videogame will be setup to keep the other participants occupied
