LOGIC

MODEL

"...a graphic depiction (road map) that presents the shared relationships among the resources, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact for your program. It depicts the relationship between your program’s activities and its intended effects"

(Logic models - program evaluation - cdc).

Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Approach

"...enlisting those who are most affected by a community issue to conduct research on and analyze the issue with the goal of devising strategies to resolve it." (Section 2. COMMUNITY-BASED participatory research)

  • Phone interviews to produce information:
  • Improve our understanding of potential barriers
  • Increase parents' early assessment and intervention
  • Increase parents' advocacy for their child's rights

  • At this time the phone interviews will be conducted with:
  • Hmong Parents of children
  • Hmong staff who work within the educational system or Early Childhood Development organizations

Community-Based Participatory Research Approach

  • Better, more complete, and accurate information from the community
  • More likely to meet the community needs = more community buy-in and support
  • Changes people's perceptions of themselves and of what they can do
  • Can contribute to their personal development
  • Help them develop a voice and a sense of power to change things
  • Help them expand their vision of what's possible for them and their community
  • Helps people better understand the forces that influence their lives

Ultimately moving communities toward positive social change!
