FAITH

Judaism is a religion started in the 5th century BCE until 70 CE, when the Israelite religion developed into various theological schools of the Second Temple Judaism. Jewish history begins with the covenant established between God and Abraham around 3,800 years ago during the Bronze Age. The Torah which holds the Jewish Law, is the primary document of Judaism and was given to the Jews by the Prophet Moses around 3,300 years ago. The religion began when Jacobs twelve sons; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin formed the twelve tribes of Judaism and became tribal eponyms. Judaism is the oldest monotheistic religion, teaching the belief in one God. Both Christianity and Islam have similarities with Judaism as these religions accept the belief in one God and the moral teachings of the Hebrew Bible the Torah which holds information on the Old Testament. The Jews also have many kosher foods, or foods that they are able to eat because they have cloven hooves. All animals without a cloven hove are not to be eaten by anyone who is Jewish as within the Old Testament God held a sheet which told the Jews what foods where forbidden.
