Smart Home

  • Control appliances and other devices remotely connected over the internet.

  • IoT devices are a part of the larger concept of home automation.

  • IoT applications allows you to connect devices to each other and let them communicate without your participation.

  • Physical objects that are embedded with sensors, software and other technologies.

  • Connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet.

  • Working of IoT starts with device themselves that securely communicate with the IoT platform.

  • Connect, analyze and transfer data.

SMART SECURITY

Smart Security

  • Device that captures footage of your home and you can view on a smartphone, tablet, or computer connected over internet.

  • Smart cameras controlled with an app and integrate with smart home devices.

  • Motion-activated and will record when they detect motion, as well as send you an alert.

  • Two types : Wired and Wireless

SMART REFRIGERATOR

Smart Refrigerator

  • Remotely notifies the user and control the functions inside the refrigerator.

  • A smart refrigerator is a refrigerator that has Internet access and is able to recognize and manage items stored inside it

  • LG introduced the first internet-connected fridge.

  • Work on a barcode or RFID system whereby they collect the batch and manufacture detail directly from the Internet.

SMART LIGHTS

Smart Light

  • Uses IoT enabled sensors, bulbs and adaptors which allow users to manage their home and office lighting.

  • Smart bulbs are Wi-Fi enabled bulbs that can be controlled individually by a smart assistant or mobile app.

  • Save money by switching to more energy-efficient LED bulbs.

  • Set schedules to ensure that lights are off when they aren’t needed.

  • ●Adjust the color or dimness of lights in different rooms or individual bulbs.

SMART HOME HUB

Smart Home Hub

  • Hardware or software that connects devices on a home automation network and controls communications among them.

  • Devices that use the Zigbee or Z-Wave protocols or Bluetooth,other than wifi.

  • Heart of a smart home network.

  • It has a built-in switch, which maintains the information necessary to determine how and where data is forwarded.

  • A dedicated smart home hub can combine and simplify the use of the disparate hubs.

Pros:

  • Increase in convenience.
  • Full control over all smart appliances with only one device.
  • Time saving.
  • Notification in case of trouble.
  • Suitable for disabled persons.

Cons:

  • Installation cost.
  • Reliable internet connection is crucial.
  • Compatibility problem between devices
