The treasure oil spill was very motivating to the people thousands of workers were showing up to help
Every one was covered in bites and nasty wounds inflicted by the penguins. They were very vicious
People were showing up by the thousandths every single day to help the penguins
None of the volenteers were experienced so none of them were prepared
scince none of the volenteers knew what they were doing they could learn from the workers.
The penguins didn't have much time before something worse occured.
Not at all! The penguins wouldn't eat dead fish so they had to hand feed the birds. It took two people to feed just one penguin!
Every day during the oil spill at least 5,000 people showed up every day
To wash a penguin you need 2 people one to hold the penguin down, and the other to gently scrub. for the face you must use a tooth brush.
the warehouse were the penguins are washed, is filled with pools and dead fish. the scent usually makes people throw up when they first arrive.
But not even the scent drives people away.
every thing was turnig out well people were starting to gain hope again
people got a report from the clean up team the oil was headed towards another colony of penguins!
Peple knew it would never work to just let it happen they needed a plan but there was only one that could maybe work. what if they relocated the other colony temporarily until the oil was cleared?
It worked! the penguins came home and the oil was gone!
Pictures
about 90% of the colony went home and survived. the birds were all back home to their regular envirement!
now that all those volenteers were expeirienced they could help other animals in need. the penguins were most helped there were even babY CHICKS being hand raised while the grown birds were being washed
the birds were all squaking and chirping again becuase they knew they were safe.
about 90% of the bird went home in a 20,000 penguin colony. in previous recues a quater of this time only survived.
