Observe and interview a paraeducator working in a self-contained, inclusion or resource K-12 special education setting about the following:

1. Roles and responsibilities of the certified teacher and the paraeducator.

2. Collaboration strategies between the certified teacher and paraeducator, as well as with students.

3. Training, feedback, and supervision provided by the certified teacher.

4. Advice for a certified teacher who is working with a paraeducator for the first time.

5. Creating a successful collaboration between all stakeholders.

REFLECTION PAPER

Draw conclusions and explain how you plan to apply your findings to your practice as a professional.
