Humans
Humans destroy nature by killing animals, cutting down trees, polluting, and etc. Humans and other living organisms need oxygen to live. We need our animals to stop going extinct because of pollution. We need our waters to stop getting trash and oils in them because its killing our resources.
Is nature dying?
Life on earth has suffered a great dying – a mass extinction eliminating between half and 97 per cent of species. In the words of the palaeoanthropologist and conservationist Richard Leakey, such events “restructure the biosphere”. Life takes millions of years to recover – and only does so by undergoing fundamental changes, such as mammals succeeding dinosaurs. But mostly our world is dying and we need to stop destroying nature.
Should humans stop doing what they are doing?
The applications of technology often result in unavoidable and unexpected environmental impacts, which according to the I = PAT equation is measured as resource use or pollution generated per unit GDP. Environmental impacts caused by the application of technology are often perceived as unavoidable for several reasons. Environmental impacts associated with meat production include use of fossil energy, water and land resources, greenhouse gas emissions, and in some instances, rainforest clearing, water pollution and species endangerment, among other adverse effects. David Attenborough described the level of human population on the planet as a multiplier of all other environmental problems. Overconsumption is a situation where resource use has outpaced the sustainable capacity of the ecosystem. It can be measured by the ecological footprint, a resource accounting approach which compares human demand on ecosystems with the amount of planet matter ecosystems can renew. So, yes we need to stop make better decisions because people don't realize that we are damaging our nature and environment
Each one of us has an impact on the environment and the world in which we live. Growing food and raising animals also uses resources from the earth. But, sometimes our animals can cause danger they can be overpopulated and cause humans to move. Animals could kill humans or they could even become overpopulated and move humans out of their habitats.
Animals don't mean to destroy nature but the only reason is because animals are trying to do anything they can to survive. Animals are living creatures that are harmful and harmless at times but they are struggling to live and are also trying to do what they can to live.
Pollution is destroying nature and its not okay because humans, animals, and many other things are dying everyday because of this. This is a big problem because air pollution causes damage to crops, animals, forests, and bodies of water.
How it happens?
Well, the pollution that is destroying our planet comes from many different places such as factories, cars, and burning materials and chemicals such as paint and plastic.
The way we can fix the way our cars, materials, and factories pollute the earth is use eco friendly products, use electric cars, and have less factories that emit bad chemicals.
The world is heading for an "ecological credit crunch" far worse than the current financial crisis because humans are over-using the natural resources of the planet, an international study warns today. The Living Planet report calculates that humans are using 30% more resources than the Earth can replenish each year, which is leading to deforestation, degraded soils, polluted air and water, and dramatic declines in numbers of fish and other species.
List of ways to conserve
- Only wash full loads of laundry.
-Fill a bucket while showering and use it to water plants
- Run the dishwasher only when full
- Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth
-Create a lawn watering schedule using a watering calculator
-Harvest rainwater
Burning Fossil Fuels
Burning Fossil Fuels
Transporting fuels from the mine or well can cause air pollution and lead to serious accidents and spills. When the fuels are burned, they emit toxins and global warming emissions. Even the waste products are hazardous to public health and the environment.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
- Buying products with minimal packaging will help to reduce waste
- Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning
- Replace Your Light Bulbs
- Drive Less and Drive Smart
- Buy Energy-Efficient Products
- Use Less Hot Water
- Use the "Off" Switch
- Plant a Tree
Natural
Disasters
Every year natural disasters kill around 90,000 people and affect close to 160 million people worldwide. Natural disasters include earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, landslides, hurricanes, floods, wildfires, heat waves and droughts. They have an immediate impact on human lives and often result in the destruction of the physical, biological and social environment of the affected people, thereby having a longer-term impact on their health, well-being and survival.
-Floods
-Earthquakes
-Thunderstorms
-Wildfire
-Winter Weather
-Tornadoes
-Volcanoes
-Hurricanes
Global Warming
As the climate warms, it changes the nature of global rainfall, evaporation, snow, stream flow and other factors that affect water supply and quality. Specific impacts include: Warmer water temperatures, affect water quality and accelerate water pollution.
Addressing climate change will require many solutions—there's no magic bullet. Yet nearly all of these solutions exist today, and many of them hinge on humans changing the way we behave, shifting the way we make and consume energy. The required changes span technologies, behaviors, and policies that encourage less waste and smarter use of our resources. For example, improvements to energy efficiency and vehicle fuel economy, increases in wind and solar power, biofuels from organic waste, setting a price on carbon, and protecting forests are all potent ways to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide and other gases trapping heat on the planet.
