- Positively controlled enviroment
- Collaboration and building positive relationships
- Class rules and consequences
- Teacher is a role model
- Not just about the learning anymore - learners need to be happy and comfortable.
- Teacher is clear, consistent and offers praise and gratitude

- Bright, interactive displays which reflect the live
learning which is taking place in the classroom.
- Classroom set up
- Cleanliness
- Organised and constructed
- Specific areas and topic tables
- Enhances literacy and numeracy
- Opportunities to use technology

- Teacher needs to have high expectations of learners at all times.
- Planning - students interests and senses stimulated
- Combination of teaching styles to cater for all learners
- Making the environment one which is learner led and promotes autonomy.
