While the look of the FDS has changed, its functionality tracks how the system has been used in past years. The copy data feature
has been preserved.
To begin filing, click on the "Start Filing" button.
Prior filings may be reviewed by clicking from
"My Filing History" list.
Sections in RED indicate those sections that need to be completed.
Click on Section 1 to begin.
Once a section has been completed, it will turn green. The section you are currently in will be in gold. All sections must be green in order to submit the form to your reviewer.
Click on the gray bar for the instructions and filer tips to appear in each section. Please make sure to read all instructions in each section before entering new information or clicking "Section Complete".
-To enter new information, click the "Add Item" button (at the bottom of the page),
-If there's nothing to report, click the "Section Complete" button,
-If information from last year's filing is the same for this reporting period, click "Copy data from previous filing".
-Terms that are underlined
have been defined in a
glossary page. Click on
the "Glossary of Underlined
Terms" button at the top
right of the page to see
their definitions.
-For filers who have filed in the prior year, the copy data feature allows for prior year information to be copied to the section that is being completed.
-After clicking "Copy data from previous filing", the line item(s) from last year's filing of this section will appear. If information needs to be amended (such as a sale or other transfer in "Interests in Real Property"), click "Edit". Or, if finished, click "Section Complete" to move to the next section.
-Elected Officials are to answer all questions. All other filers will skip the questions with grayed out answer boxes.
-Click "save" once you've completed a set of questions for an item, which will create a line item on the next page. (See next screen.)
-Once a section has been completed, click "Section Complete" to move on to the next section.
-Or click "Add Item" to include an additional item.
As with the old system, you will be timed out after 30 minutes, regardless of activity. Whenever you log out of the system and log back in, you will be able to access your disclosure by clicking the "Continue Filing" button on the home page.
If you have other information that was not directly asked of you in any prior sections, but you feel it is important to report the information in order for this form to be complete and accurate, please list it in Section 9: Additional Interests or Information.
Once you have finished completing your statement and all sections are in green, you will then be able to submit your form by clicking on the red submit button at the bottom of the screen.
A thank you screen will appear confirming your submission. You will also receive an auto-generated confirmation email from the FDS soon thereafter.
