Hermes appears

It was a another day for Odysseus, king of Ithaca. He sat upon his throne resting when a familiar face who wore winged shoes woke him from his dreams. His dreams told him that he great things destined for him and many changes shadow his figure. Odysseus was startled from his dream but something felt familiar to him as he seen Hermes's face. "Who are you and how did you get past my guards?", he asked. "The gods of Olympus ask a major task of you Odysseus", said Hermes. By this statement, Odysseus noticed the wings on the strange man's shoes. "Hermes? What could the gods of Olympus possibly need of me?" he said as he steps down from his throne and motion to kneel before the god. "No need Odysseus, says Hermes, it is a simple, yet, rewardable one." Odysseus stands up, and listens to what he is tasked with.

Odysseus's Decision

Before Odysseus, three goddesses came out of thin air it appeared and which shimmers of light followed them. One was Hera, Queen of the heavens, another were named Athena, goddess of wisdom and War, and finally Aphrodite, goddess of love. Odysseus's legs seemed to stand as if they were straws of hay. Odysseus trembled before the goddesses as he felt the high divinity of which the goddesses illuminated. "They shimmer and glow more than gold" says Odysseus. "Well yes! says Hermes, they are among the most powerful beings of Olympus!" Odysseus stood, knees bending, as he gazed upon the goddesses. Hermes gave Odysseus the golden apple, "To the fairest", says Hermes. Hera, proposed her award if she receives the apple, "I will give you the rule of earth. Nobody shall ever come over your power and will quake against your powerful army", says Hera. This didn't spark anything within him because he already ruled over Ithaca and which he had no motivation to gain more than he needs. "I cannot give you power, but I can give you her", says Aphrodite who held a shell with an image of a beautiful woman. "She is the most beautiful woman in the world, and he can be yours." Odysseus thought harder at this but realized the risks of jealousy of men wanted the hand and marriage of the the most beautiful woman in the world. "So I have to chose Athena then right?", thought Odysseus. "I offer you wisdom and intelligence needed for the knowledge of the gods", proclaims Athena. Odysseus was ready to choose the fairest goddess, Athena. Odysseus hands the golden apple to Athena, who grinned and disappeared. The other goddesses roll their eyes and disappear.

Knowledge of the gods

D

As Odysseus gains the knowledge of the gods, he sees a prophecy...the end of Olympus?

C

As centuries of time, Odysseus, with his gained knowledge learns how to get around age and lives to see the day. 325 AD, the Roman Emperor of Constantine declared the state religion was Christianity. The sisters of fate told Zeus this which angered him enough to destroy Olympus as he knew the reign of Olympus rulers were no more prayed to and were no longer rulers. Odysseus knew that his wisdom was too much and redundant to humanity now, so he fatefully passed.
