Title: HR Manager
Position: Graduate HR Manager
Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom
Duties: Working closely with all management, coaching and supporting on all HR functions and issues, Support the day to day management of the recruitment and onboarding process, Manage staff training requirements and other compliance regulations, Conduct Annual Salary Reviews, Employee engagement initiatives, To manage workplace conflict, disciplinary & grievance procedures, Managing risk for the business in terms of potential employment law issues, making sure that the business is prepared for all future issues, Develop and update relevant HR tools and templates, Establish positive, effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders, Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement and training, manage employee development programs, Any other duties within the scope and spirit of the role as directed by the Head of HR.
Reporting: Senior HR Manager and General HR Manager
Workplace Environment: Office and sometimes the manufactory
Education: Diploma of Higher Education, Educated to degree level or possession of an equivalent relevant HR or Business qualification, Educated to degree level (or equivalent), CIPD qualification preferred, A degree within human resources management, CIPD level 3 or higher, Strong data and MI reporting knowledge
Work experience: Solid previous HR experience in a manager position, Experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individuals, Strong understanding of UK employment law, Good understanding of HR trends and best practice in relation to HR and industry,
Experience of delivery of HR initiatives from design to delivery, Broad generalist HR experience, working with different levels of the organization, Strong understanding of manufacturing, with strong industrial relations experience, Strong experience in a Generalist role, Preferably experience in a standalone role, Confident with all aspects of administration, Experience of Project management, Experience within the manufacturing industry

Overall purpose of the job: To oversee Human Resources department functions and to manage employees.
Principal responsibilities of the job:
- Recruit, hire & train employees
- Oversee day to day activities
- To source new talent for the company
- To support and take part in practices to aid employee retention
- Work closely with Payroll department
- Further develop existing employees
- Solve workplace conflicts
Limits of authority: Line manager authority with HR department.

As HR Manager, you will manage employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and employee development programs.
You will work with department heads on recruitment of new employees and manager HR’s of both sites with the help of other team members. Part of your job is to cooperate with counterparts in Europe, to manage information flows and data, as well as cooperating with 3rd party HR support, while keeping all relevant company documents and literature compliant.

You will be fully conversant with up-to-date employment standards, laws and regulations and preferably be CIPD qualified on level 3 or higher. A degree within human resources management would also be preferable.
