My first name does't really have much of an origin, but my mother has told me that she got the name carrington from one of her favorite tv shows called dynasty.
I truly believe my essence is my personality. I am always been the goofiest person in the room and have been told that I’m also compassionate. Also, I am almost always the life of the party depending on where I am and for that reason making friends can sometimes come easy for me when my social anxiety doesn’t get in the way. People tell me I’m funny, but I just believe I have a way with words, and everything I say just so happens to be funny. I also get random bursts of energy, so I’m never bored at home. When I am in an unfamiliar setting most of the time, I can be very quiet. When I was younger my teachers would tell my mother that they didn’t know I could talk. I think the outgoing part of me is only accessible to people who have known me for a while and the quiet me is the one everyone knows.
Out of all the best experiences of my life it’s hard to choose just one but since I have no choice, I would have to say the birth of my niece and the birth of my baby cousin. I was not there to experience either of the births because my niece, Aja, lives in Hawaii and my cousin, Kenzo, lives in Florida but it is still one of the most rewarding feelings in the world. In addition to that, i always hear kenzo and I look alike. Aja and Kenzo are a week apart but Aja is one and Kenzo is 10 months old. I remember both days very vividly like they happened yesterday, and I cried because I was overwhelmed with excitement. I have not met either of the babies yet, but I talk to them very often. On the bright side, my family and I are set to meet Kenzo this upcoming November for his first birthday.
The worst experience of my life would without a doubt be the loss of one of my older cousins five years ago. My cousin went above and beyond for my sister and me every holiday but especially the Fourth of July and Christmas. We would always have the biggest fireworks in the neighborhood and the most extravagant Christmases to a point where we couldn’t even find a path on the floor because of all the presents. Since he passed away, our holidays are not as fun as they used to be, but I will always look forward to the Fourth of July because I enjoy lighting fireworks with family, but it will never be the same without him.
As we grow older, we realize most of the people who come into our lives are not there to stay. Many times, we are told these people can either be lessons or blessings. I, unfortunately, have been introduced to people who were no good for me. Ultimately, if I had to choose the most important people in my life it would be my mother, my grandmother, and my sister. I have a countless amount of people who will go above and beyond for me and it’s a hard decision to make. I chose my mother, nana, and sister because they’ll always have my back and won’t have to think twice about it and they know I’ll do the same for them. I also picked them because nothing in the world could ever take them away from me.
First, my grandmother, or nana as she tells us to call her is the most important, because the rest of us would not be here without her. On top of that, she can dress and so can I courtesy of J.C. Penney. Other than the material things ,my nana has a personality of gold and she has always and will always be there when I need her no matter the situation.
Second, my mother is the most important because she’s my mother of course. I know she always tells me she is not one of my friends, but I truly can’t tell. My mother jokes around and plays more than I do. In addition, the conversations we have most definitely come naturally. She is truly one of the most permanent people in my life and she’s always there whether I’m laughing at my own jokes or crying because one of my favorite characters died on a tv show
Finally, my sister is also the most important people in my life because she will without a doubt be my best friend until the end. She reminds me of myself and its never a dull moment with her. We never stop laughing and sometimes we get in trouble for laughing at the wrong times. We also hear all the time that we have the most beautiful relationship and are 100 percent inseparable.
After high school, I want to become an anesthesiologist in the United States Air Force. I am a very indecisive person so my mind is bound to change but choosing the Air Force whether I become a doctor, or a social worker will always give me a backup plan. If I choose not to go into the military at all concerning college, I have a handful of HBCU’s I want to choose from such as, Howard University, a University of Tennessee, Clarke Atlanta University, Spelman college, and Florida A & M University. With all of these decisions under my nose the only one that matters the most is becoming a doctor because it’s the only profession I’ve ever dreamed about, and I feel as if not fulfilling this would bring extreme disappointment upon myself.
