Rise and Fall of The New Kingdom

The Rise

The new kingdom began in about 1550 BC and was known as the golden age of civilization in ancient Egypt. Ahmose I started the New Kingdom by overthrowing the Hyksos. During the period of Ahmose I ruling, Egypt becomes the most powerful it ever been. They conquered the most land and became even richer than they already were. The pharaohs had used their wealth to build temples for there gods. They people started to use the temples as a home. The artisans used it as a factory, the pharaohs used it as a treasure trove, and the priest used it as a school for the rich boys.

The fall

The fall of the New Kingdom began during the 20th dynasty when the priest of Amun grew so strong to where they could start their power at Thebes. They divided the country between their act.

Thoth, The Egyptian God

Thoth was the Egyptian god of writing, magic, wisdom, and the moon. He was one of the most important ancient Egyptian gods and according to one of the myths he was alternately said to be self-created. Thoth was recognized to be the inventor and creator of writing. One of his inventions was hieroglyphs. Hieroglyphs as a form of writing back in ancient Egypt. He also protected all of the writers, scribes, teachers, and whoever was spreading words of knowledge. He filled many roles and was given many great titles such as Lord of Divine words, Twice Great, Thrice Great, and many more.

There were just a few differences when it comes to Women's rights. When you're a woman, becoming Pharaoh is possible. It only happens in special circumstances. Women are regarded to be equal to men as far as the law was concerned. They were allowed to borrow money, own property, initiate divorce, sign contracts, and many more. Ancient Egypt treated the women more equally and respectfully then any other civilization in the Ancient world at the time.

Advancements in the New Kingdom!

Advancements

There were many changes in the new kingdom. It was the Golden age of the civilization and when Egypt was at its highest point. They had gained better technology, became larger and richer then ever before, and they gained alot of power. They had also found a certain form of writing called hieroglyphics. It was a way that they used to express their thoughts by using images to communicate sounds and different meanings. One of there biggest advanments were the temples. They were the most important and meaningful buildings in Ancient Egypt.
