The mission was founded in San Francisco. It was founded on October 9,1776 between 1823 and was the sixth out of the 21.The founder was Junipero Serra or father Serra.
Junipero Serra was born on November 24, 1713 and died on August 28, 1784.
It has 3 big bells,workshops,a cemetery and a big garden. It was white,big,tall,wide,long,cemetery,workshops and church. Today it is more short,white.tall,long,no cemetery,no workshops and it is just the church.
They were 30 miles apart to allow a person on horse to get from one mission to another in one day.
It’s neighboring mission’s are Mission San Rafael Arcangel and San Jose.
The geographical features surrounding the mission are garden,cemetery and courtyard.
The first people to live there were the Ohlone Indians
Their jobs were that the Indians had to make soap for the people, clean and workin the workshops.
The people did have free time they made pottery and they made blankets. Mission San Francisco De Asis had a Garden, cemetery, workshop, a church, pardes' quartes and a Cattle brand.
The Church is: 114 feet long, 22 feet wide; made of adobe, with tile roof and tile floors. Style: Simple, clean lines. An exterior balcony crosses the front, supported by four Corinthian columns flanking a small arched entrance.
