Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up

Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know (ooh oh)

Your love is like an arrow, straight and true
And now this rebel heart belongs to You
"Your love is like an arrow, straight and true" is comparing love and an arrow to make the lyric more visual.
Lord, I offer up this rebel heart
So stubborn and so restless from the start
I don't wanna fight You anymore
So take this rebel heart and make it Yours
Rebel Heart
...
Help me lay the renegade to rest
Turn the stone inside me back to flesh
And hold me 'til my best defenses fall
And watch this rebel heart surrender all
the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form
Lord, I offer up this rebel heart
So stubborn and so restless from the start
I don't wanna fight You anymore
So take this rebel heart and make it Yours
Hearts are not actually rebellious, stubborn, or restless, but by giving a heart this kind of description, it makes an easy connection for the listener to relate to the song.
Help me lay the renegade to rest
Turn the stone inside me back to flesh
And hold me 'til my best defenses fall
And watch this rebel heart surrender all
Lauren Daigle is telling the listener a story about how she feels like a burden. instead of stating just that, she uses the word stone to describe those emotions. This lyric is her asking God to turn her stone back to flesh - flesh being the ability to enjoy life once again.

Music is a story. A story being told that can make a person cry tears of happiness, or tears of sadness. Music is a story being told to help you know that you are not alone, that you are loved, that you are worthy. Music is all about feeling and emotion. Music creates emotion that connects us with others. And that is why I believe music is so important in each persons daily life.
Music can influence people in their daily life. Here are parents reasons why they think music can be harmful to others. Music about violence, drugs, sex, etc. has an impact on the listeners morals. The audience may think if the artist is signing or rapping about it, then it must be morally correct. Music also has a major rule on emotions.
