24 emergency interventions in restoration and conservation carried out by a French expert and the 20 craftsmen from Lalibela. The materials needed were mostly purchased in Lalibela or at least in Ethiopia.
Training delivered to 20 craftsmen from Lalibela to restoration skills by working on the emergency interventions directly and inspired by local knowledge. Constitution of a craftsmen team specialized in restoration and conservation of monumental heritage, able to work on other sites.
Valorization by settling a new electric and lighting system in the rock-hewn churches’ complex. In addition, paving works will be carried out.
