Blender and ZBrush is what I recommend. Blender is free, Z Brush is very fluid and flexible. Both are very user-friendly.
Pixel Art is popular and attractive as an art form, especially for video games, but not personally recommended due to too many similarities of Stardew Valley and Minecraft.
