Precipation
Precipation: Rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls to the ground. In other words when it's raining or snowing outside, that is precipation. Precipation can fall in many forms. it can be hail, snow, rain, sleet, freezing rain, or acid rain. Precipation happens when water evaporates (if you don't know what evaporation is you should check out my other web page about evaporation) and goes to the clouds. When the clouds are full they empty out all the water. Now, you might be wondering if water comes out of the clouds, then why does snow or hail come out of the sky. Well, when the water is falling it just freezes on the way down, of course depending on how cold it is where the clouds are. That's why in places like Antartica which is colder than California, gets more snow. You've also probably heard the saying or seen people drinking rain water. The water is most likely not clean but most of the dirt and salt was left in the ocean when it was evaporated.
Condensation: Water that collects as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it. That pretty much means that when the water reaches the clouds as a gas, it turns to liquid again. Did you know that condensation is vital in nature and is always the same as temperature and vapour pressure in nature. This means that if there is a lot of condensation, the temperature goes up. Alternatively, if there is hardly any condensation, there will be a temperature loss. Also, Sometimes you don't have to look at something as far away as a cloud to notice condensation. If you liked those facts you'll like these. Here are some facts about condensation.
Facts:
Condesation is the opposite of evaporation
Condensation of water is when water turns from gas to a liquid or crystal shape.
Any gas can condensate, usually at a low temperature or high pressure.
Condensation is vital in nature and is always the same as temperature and vapour pressure in nature. This means that if there is a lot of condensation, the temperature goes up. Alternatively, if there is hardly any condensation, there will be a temperature loss.
Hi! welcome to my water cycle website. In this website you'll be learning about how the water cycle works, what the water cycle is, and the meaning of precipatation, condensation, and evaporation.
Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turns it into vapor or steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air. if you don't understaand what that means well then lets put that this way. Have you ever saw your mom or someone boiling water in a teapot or something? Did you see something white and smokey coming out of it? That's evaportaion and it may not look like it, but that smokey thing coming out of the teapot used to be water, but then it got warmed up and changed into a cloud. Remember when we talked about condensation in my other wep page? Well, evaporation is the opposite of condenstaion! Did you know that one of the ways we obtain (get) water is by taking a small amount of water, putting it in a field, and then when the water evaporates, it leaves the salt behind! smart, huh. Well i hope you enjoyed my website. Be sure to check my other web pages too!
