Two people we will talk about is Kamehameha and Keoua

Kamehameha the first was the person that unified all of the Hawaiian islands. He also conquered many chiefs and people with the help of Isaac Davis and john young which were his advisers. They gave Kamehameha guns and cannons which are good to use in battle
Keoua was the younger son of Kalaniopu'u and was give 1/3 of Hawaii island. Keoua's brother, Kiwala'o, battled Kamehameha and was overthrown. Kiwala'o was also Kalaniopu'u's successor. Later Keoua was killed by Kamehameha's men
1st event
Two events that helped kamehameha unite the hawaiian islands were the battle of Mokuohai and the battle of Nu‘uanu.
2nd event
The battle of Mokuohai was important because when he won he took control of Hawaii Island.

One of the most important effects of the Unification of the Hawaiian Islands is that they was peace. The second effect of the unification is that the government was more organized

The Law of the Splintered Paddle
The law of the splintered paddle implies that no innocents shall be harmed in war. The law was created when Kamehameha encountered to fisherman. Kamehameha pursued the men and in defense, the men broke a paddle over Kamehameha's head. Later on, the men were brought to Kamehameha. They were to be executed, but Kamehameha spared them.
After the Unification, the Hawaiian government was more organized. All of the islands were under one ruler, Kamehameha.
